We represent and support Trainee Healthcare Scientists working in London. Our mission is to keep our members informed and connected to the wider scientific community through digital communications and trainee-led events.
Healthcare science professions are the backbone of prevention, diagnosis and treatment in countless patient care pathways. Programmes delivered by the National School of Healthcare Science are developing this essential workforce for the National Health Service.
The London Healthcare Scientist Trainee Network was borne out of the first Healthcare Science Darzi Fellowship project. This project recognised the need for a formal support structure for Healthcare Science trainees across disciplines.
Our mission reflects that of Health Education England and the NHS constitution. We are working to ensure our peers qualify with the right skills and values to better meet the needs and wants of patients – now and in the future. We achieve this by providing wider representation, peer-led support, relevant communications and professional development events.
The LondonHCSTN board members are recruited annually and regular meetings are held to discuss issues, plan events and organise communications. For enquiries regarding operations, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
