A section dedicated to the professional development and training of pre-registration clinical scientists.
What is a Pre-Registration Clinical Scientist ?
A pre-registration clinical scientist is a healthcare professional in training who analyses, interprets and reports test results. A (pre-reg) clinical scientist acts as a key link between technical laboratory staff and clinicians, contributing to the patient treatment pathway. As they work, they develop specialist skills, knowledge and experience to become fully registered and licensed to practice in a field.
The Pre-Reg Committee Mandate: building a more inclusive, supportive and informative network within the LHCSTN that will guide Pre-regs during their clinical science journey.
