London Trainee Support – Raising Concerns

Ideally training should flow smoothly from start to finish. However, we know this is not always the case, and with so many different professional bodies involved in our training, it can be difficult to know who to turn to if certain issues arise.

To get the most appropriate support it is important to raise your issue through the appropriate channels. The new regional approach to raising concerns in London is now live. The new pathway will provide a clear and transparent process for both educators and learners, and allow concerns raised to managed by the appropriate parties, and resolved in a timely manner. Please see the support flowchart below.

The new approach also includes a new raising concerns portal, found here. This portal can be used by either educators or learners regarding any education or quality concerns which have not been able to be resolved at local level (i.e. within the host department, organisation or university). Do note that this new approach doesn’t take away from NSHCS-led processes but the aim is for the local National School representatives to have greater awareness of concerns in region so that the necessary support can be provided.
