Board Meeting Summary – Monday 11th June 2018

Every month the trainee network board meets to discuss in depth, items raised through remote communication during the preceding month. These may be for the organisation of our events, discussion of feedback, or coordination of other network activities.

Below you can find a summary of what we discussed at the last meeting. If you’d like something discussed at the next meeting, please drop us an email.

In this months’ board meeting our main topic for discussion was…the new board member elections! We look forward to receiving all your applications and seeing your suggestions on how we can continue to improve our engagement with all new and current trainees in the network.

Our board members have attended a number of external meetings recently including the Trainee Representative Group Meeting which is run by the National School of Healthcare Science. It provides a platform where trainees can voice concerns and be kept up to date. We cascade this information to trainees in our network through our emails and monthly newsletters.

We also discussed an exciting upcoming event for Reach Out For Healthcare Science, different members from the board will participate to encourage school students to consider a future career in healthcare science. Look out for updates of how their days go on our Twitter page!

After some administrative role assignments, we ended the meeting on a pleasant note…by planning our next few socials! These will include going to the Dinerama in Shoreditch on June 21st, and an after OSFA celebration party, more details of which will be announced soon!
